I found this idea for Easter bread here. It is a dessert that helps kids better understand the true meaning of Easter.
The marshmallow symbolizes Jesus’ body and the dough/bread symbolizes the tomb.
After baking in the oven (time symbolizes the three days), we discovered that the marshmallow was gone.
James, of course, noted that the marshmallow had just melted, but it was still a fun way for him to understand the resurrection.
