Week 4

1.22.12- Naomi taking a break from jumping in the family room.

1.23.12- Family trip to Krispy Kreme for some donuts and hot cocoa.

1.24.12- Naomi waiting to see her allergist. She relaxed once I told her she wouldn’t need a flu shot or to give any blood.

1.25.12- I was early for a meeting in Surry County, so I pulled off on the scenic overlook of Pilot Mountain.

1.26.12- Cute smile from Mimi.

1.27.12- Driving home from school on Friday afternoon.  We surprised Naomi with a new pink carseat.

1.28.12- Trip to Albemarle. James chowing down on his biscuit from the Breakfast Nook.

Week 3

1.15.12- Playing pirates after church.  And other costumed fun.

We took a trip to campus. Ashley, Naomi, and I in front of Bostwick.

1.16.12- Dinosaurs and duplos.

1.17.12- Fun in the playroom. James working on a lego set and Naomi filling up bags with her stuff.

1.18.12- Dinner with friends.

1.19.12- James working hard on a coloring sheet before dinner.

1.20.12- James’ “P” book from school. He was very proud of it. We held our laughs in until he was asleep.

 

1.21.12- A trip to the children’s museum in Raleigh.

Week 2

1.08.12- Hair night for Naomi.

1.09.12- James lost his third tooth.

 

1.10.12- Naomi working on a princess picture using her new stamp set.

1.11.12- Movie night.

1.12.12- Home after a long day at school.

1.13.12- Girls’ night. Turkey sandwiches and a princess movie.

1.14.12- Ashley was in town. James reading a book before bed.

Week 1

We took the kids to dinner at Chick-fil-A tonight.  It was only the 2nd or 3rd time Naomi went up in a play area. This time, she loved it and did her best to keep up with James.

James working on homework at the kitchen table. Earlier in the week we talked about going back to school after his Winter break.  He thought he was done with kindergarten and would be going to 1st grade.  Not yet, buddy.

The final day of Naomi’s birthday celebrations. She was back at school today, so she brought chocolate cupcakes to share.

I am hoping to update the blog more often this year. My goal is to take pictures every day, so I will hopefully post one each day.  Ever since Naomi was born, New Years day has been more birthday celebration than New Year's celebration. It is really fun. We sprinkled some New Year's elements into her birthday celebration, so the kids had a lot of fun. We got her a dollhouse for her birthday, which she loves. It is hard to believe she is already 4 years old.  She chose McDonald’s for her birthday lunch and Jello instead of a cake. We had fun looking through her baby book.
